A Public Update
In the months (years? decades? Who knows, I've lost track) since I shut down my original Xanga, I've thought about coming back a few times. Missed some of the people, some of the drama, some of that weird sense of community that very few other blogging platforms provide. I've lurked around, idling clicking through posts and comments, thinking about all the people I used to interact with on a daily basis.
But mostly I've thought about how I'm too old to get dragged into this again.
Don't get me wrong; Xanga did me a lot of good. I found my husband here - hell, we even got married on a live XangaTV broadcast - and we recently celebrated our second wedding anniversary. I made some genuine friends-for-life. I found my voice, and my snark, and poured a lot of myself into these digital pages. But it was also a habitually destructive place that made it easy to be a bitch.
So. This update, I've decided, will stay here. For anyone who clicks around and actually still remembers this username, and wonders how I am. I'm wonderful, I'm happy, I'm still madly in love with that insane boy from Missouri, who packed up his life for a woman in Canada. A lot is different, but a lot's still the same. Half of you are Facebook friends with me anyway (or are able to read my sporadic protected posts), but for those who aren't, that's really all you need to know.
And some photos! For tradition and vanity's sake.

You're a cute couple.
Welcome back even though I'm one of the few that has known you've been back for awhile.
Nice dolphin.
cute dolphin pic!
I've thought many times about leaving here for one of the bigger networks, but the odd little community here is just too endearing. Glad to hear you're doing well. Nice to hear from you again.
I wonder how many xanga babies there are out there.
CUTE COUPLE!!!
Your life and your Xanga at its snarkiest have so little in common. Its as if you gave Xanga all the cold hearted bitch that you had in you. Leaving almost none behind. It was you, but it was not you really. I loved that wedding
